Not like in the early days of *BSD, when the squabbling ended up with the split
into FreeBSD/NetBSD/OpenBSD, and 386BSD going away.

Another problem in the early days of *BSD (which is still a problem, but not as
bad) was the lack of support for a lot of hardware. I had a Mitsumi-interface
CDROM drive at the time, and the only *BSD driver cost money. I found that all
my hardware was supported in Linux.

I found the installation of *BSD to be lacking (and when I recently tried FreeBSD
it still had weak installation), and building a new kernel involved jumping around
figuring out what all the different options meant (some of which weren't very well
documented).
