[rescue] OT: Proble w/ soft power on Alpha 164SX MB

Hi,

	I am finally putting together an Alpha system using an Alpha
21164PC 533 processor and the PC164SX motherboard. Everything works fine
except for the soft power. I have tested the case switch, and it is
working fine, but the system only powers up (randomly) about every 10-15
times that I hit the button.

	Since I rarely shut down systems that I like, this would not be a
problem except that if it does shut down, the system is actually quiet
enough (next to the Athlon 900 systems next to it) that I will not easily
be able to tell if it has turned on.

	Does anybody have any familiarity with this problem? Do you know a
fix? The pins for the power attachment do NOT feel or appear loose.

	Barring a solution, does anybody have a spare 164SX board that
they are willing to part with, with or without CPU? First reasonable offer
will be accepted.
