Hey, I still keep a couple of those (IBM PS2/convertible, and Toshiba
T3200 Plasma screen) boxes around as portable kermit terminals. They
are ideal for that, and have real keyboards (not the teensie-weensie-
squishy modern laptop things). The Toshiba has ethernet and I can ftp/
telnet/etc into and out of my net boxes. I though everyone was supposed
to keep something like that around, in the bilges.....(:+}}... In the
old days, I had used Kaypro II's for that purpose, but they were hard
put to keep up at 9600 baud. They were also the 80 pound luggable types.

I have noticed that. Modern kids all want to klick on Word and IE and
have a hard time with anything else. Sad. Oh, well, something seems
to have gotten lost in the Gatesware shuffle. When I began to learn
seriously about computers, you got a big bag of parts, had to solder
up 2000 bus connections, built the boardset from parts or kits, had
to hand build all the interface cabling, cabinetry, and power supplies,
and even had to progam the boot proms. You had to understand what was
going on then, at all levels. Gatesware seems to have waylaid that
type of learning about computers.

Point... Click.... Yuk.... (:+}}...
