[rescue] Sun training

	I was trying to follow the use it at home and break it to learn it
method on my IPC and the sparc 5 I have. Unfortunately the demands I am
receiving are outstripping my learning curve this way and I need to up the
speed. I got to get ahead of this wave before it swamps and I figure some
instructor based training and then get back to breaking things may be the
best way to go. I will definitely take a look at the book you recommend, do
you get a cut if I buy a copy? :-) . 
	Unfortunately all the live training is in northern Virginia, about 4
hours each way from me. I am thinking of seeing if my employer will order
the CD-rom courses I saw on the sun site. Anyone had any luck with those?

You're not going to find such a course.

You can get training from Sun on the operating system (Solaris Admin 1 & 2,
Networking), but you're not going to get anything that will cover any
situation
you run into with a Sun box.  My best suggestion is to take the introductory
Solaris courses (or just read a lot of books, such as the Syngress Media 
Solaris 8 certification study book just published, that I wrote chapter 5 
in.. *plug plug* *grin*), then just fiddle around with Sun boxes at home,
and
break things - then figure out how to fix them.

The best training for Sun hardware is to have your own.
