I let the C1708T magneto-optical critter dry some, after pouring out
the rice crispies, cig butts, etc., and then unwrenched it.

It has a C1716 drive in it and was full up with 16 x 1.3g optical
cassettes.

Is there ANY reasonably way to use one of the magneto-optical drives
on a Suntoy or a VAXentoy?  It might make a nice backup device or
offline storage thingy, if drivers of some sort existed.
