does the FC-AL card have two GBICs in it or just one?  i've got a spare GBIC
here that i don't need, and you can find FC-AL cards on ebay anywhere from $110
to $150 depending how lucky you are.  these things max at 25MB/sec per fibre
connection, so i would recommend two cards with two GBICs each and two GBICs
in the SSAs.  that way he can get 50MB/sec to each SSA (if he setups up his
volumes right)
