[rescue] What have I got

I just got a old storage tower at work:

Its got 7 bays with removable drives, a device at the top that looks like
a normal 5.25 sized faceplate that has a couple lights and a cache/nocache
light are labled.

On the back it has scsi, 2 db9 ports that are unlabled, a switch that has
a picture next to it I cant describe and a db9 labled console.

I power it up and it spins up the disks one by one and sits there with a
yellow and green light on.

I tried hooking it up to a sparcbook and it didnt see anything in
probe-scsi so I fear it may be differntial or possibly need configuration.

The marking on the back of the device says SH3-ZZ-ZZ which I'm gussing is
a model number.

The drives are in removable plastic housings with Model SHZHB-ZZ written
on them and also say 'For use with 300 series shelf or other devices as
specified in manual.

I'd love to hook this thing up to something and be able to use it, raid or
not I could use the disks.

Anyone got a clue what I have? I can provide pictures if needed.
