  If it sucks, yes, it's bad.

  "Faster computer for the same cost" is *A* benefit, without a
doubt.  But in my humble (yeah that'll be the day) opinion, the price
paid for that benefit is too high.  It's a kludge, no matter how much
money it saves you.
