I've had good luck with Znyx (www.znyx.com) cards. Their ZX34?Q series are
supported with an add-on driver in Solaris for SPARC as znb# interfaces,
and you can buy online for next day delivery I think.

Single ethernet is $99, quad is $699 (compare to $1800 for quad from sun).
They're DEC Tulip based cards, so you can use them in about any other OS
as well. We used a pile of them in Ultra 5s in my last job for testbed
applications.

Make sure you get the -Q cards that are supported under sparc. I guess
that's all they sell anymore, so you may be safe. I know a local place
that has the ZX345 non-Q for $20 but I don't know if it works with Solaris
SPARC. I can try later today on my Sol8 U5 at work and let you know.

I believe Phobos and Antares and Intraserver/LSI all have other cards
supported under Solaris; I've used Intraserver SCSI and like them, but
haven't tried the Ethernet. Intraserver has online ordering
(www.intraserver-store.com) and their card works with the hme driver, but
their cards run $425 for single ethernet, and just short of $1k for quad.

Hope this helps,

Rob
