$1.50 a gallon ;-) I wish. It's been as high as $2.75 a gallon here
recently.

Admittedly that isnt the worst in the world, but last I checked it wasn't
$6.00 a gallon in the UK either, it was more like $4.00 as of a couple of
weeks ago.

the current exchange rate is about 1.44 USD to GBP, there are 3.785 liters
in a US gallon, and the current price per liter in your area according to
www.petrolbusters.com is under 80p a liter.

Lets assume that means 79p

so the average price per US gallon is equivalent to about $4.35

As of next month, the price of power where I live (it varies geographically
across the state) is going to $0.135 per kwh.

My bill last months at the lower rate of $0.067 was $145, and I didnt have
the Ultra 60 or the 24" monitor. Combine that with the fact that we are
going into air conditioning season soon, and next months power bill should
be fun.

I will do the Californians a swap, we will have the power cuts here in
Wales, and they can have all the power they can burn at $0.09/KWh so long
as we can have petrol at the price they think is high, what is it... about
$1.50/gallon and they have our petrol at $6.00/gallon 8-)
