A guy named Ross Pennington (I think) bought a few pallets full of SPARCBooks on
the cheap, and sold them on the cheap.  3GX boxes went for $400 (with 32MB and
about half an install of 2.5.1 usually) and lower-end boxes went cheaper.
Pretty much made old SPARCBooks affordable for a while.
