Without saying what I think about the idea, I think what MS has done is 
have the OS create the links on the fly, by itself, without telling 
anyone. In other words, it looks for duplicate files and merges them (as 
far as disk space is concerned). I *hope* (for the sake of any W2K 
users) that the OS can reliably un-merge files as well.
