Its amazing how many geeks are closeted (or not) military freaks. If
I hadnt had asthsma and related health problems, I would have ended up
in the Marines after high school...

Still, tho, you can learn a lot from books and having lots of friends
in the National Guard, as well as parents who are city and/or county
police.. How many other people here can field-strip an M-16 *without*
the manual? 8-)

(I *will* own an AR-15 "shorty" one day. dammit. Even if I only get to
shoot it when I take it to the gun range across town... makes me miss
growing up in Oklahoma, where our "back yard fence" was the city line -
I could hop the fence and go shooting all I wanted.. we had a proper
shooting range for both the guns and my bow and arrow setup, too... and
nothing behind it but hillside and river bank for a couple miles, too..)

*sigh*

Bill (anybody got recommendations for a web site that sells *nice* edged
weaponry, ala Brigade Quartermasters or the like?)
