twinax? you mean this stuff?
http://www.milestek.com/MILtwinax.htm

I never did twinax wiring per se (just the thin-net/ethernet/coax - and it's
been awhile) but if memory serves when the BNC connector didn't fit then the
best recourse was to unscrew the connector (if it was the cheapish kind)
recut the bits and and try again, or if it was the expensive crimp connector
cut the whole thing off and try again. Used up a lot of connectors that
way, when I was tired.

Usually, when I just could *not* get the damned thing to work, I had to take
a break, get some air or something. Yuck. I do *not* miss that stuff.

Anybody know a cheap source of twinax-to-UTP baluns?

Or, is there a secret to connecting twinax cables to
workstations and servers?

I've been sitting here trying to screw this twinax cable onto
the back of this terminal for about 30 minutes now, my hands hurt,
and its driving me crazy. Everything appears to line up properly,
but its like the connector needs to go in ONE MORE MILLIMETER to
make the threads catch and screw on....

Suggestions? (yes, I"m playing with AS/400 crap for a while to
get away from UNIX at home for a few days.. I've dealt with enough
UNIX at work lately...)

Bill
