[SunRescue] SunOS 4.1.1 vs NetBSD 1.4.2

Hi all. I've finally downloaded SunOS 4.1.1 from the
Sun3 Archive site (http://wwww.sun3arc.krupp.net) and
am getting ready to install it sometime over the
holidays. Previously I had used NetBSD 1.4.2 with my
Sun 3/50 but the SCSI interface died so I lost the OS.
I'll be going diskless and while I could do that in
NetBSD I thought that since I was going to have to
reinstall an OS anyway I might as well try the OS
originally designed for the machine. Anyway, I would
like to know what to expect, differences from NetBSD
etc. (I've heard that X is faster under SunOS which
is one reason I wanted to try it - under NetBSD X is
*way* too slow on a 3/50 so it'd be a text terminal
instead of an Xterm).

Is there a lot of software that would run under NetBSD
but not SunOS?

After trying it out a bit I'm planning on compiling
various bit 'n pieces that I like under Linux for use
under SunOS (assuming I decide to stick with it).
