Google didn't pick the test crowd at random. They used people active on other
networks and with specific profiles as test subjects to maximise constructive
feedback (that's what I was told anyhow). Scary that that know that much about
people...

This is kinda why I don't use Facebook much. Most of my friends are 'out
there' and most of the ones I've met IRL I've met online first anyway so we
just naturally communicate through online channels, be that Twitter, IMs,
Vent/TS or mailing lists/forums.

I don't want to know all those people that weren't worth my time 20 years ago,
chances are they still aren't ;)
