Depends on what you mean by "VGA".  The Video Graphics Array can't do
that; it maxes out at 800x600, from what I've been able to find.  But
there's no reason you can't put the frequencies and signals appropriate
to it on a DA-15 connector; it is even likely to work - I run 1920x1080
on DA-15 and, while I can detect a little ghosting if I look closely at
black-on-white text, it is in general satisfactory to me.  (I am not a
hardcore graphic artist or any such, though; it probably would be
unsatisfactory to the kind of person to whom calibrating the exact
response curves for each primary is an important thing to do with a new
monitor.  It's also possible a better cable would help.)
