Actually, a whole lot. Many of the large (and many small NON-mom&pop ) stores'
POS systems, are, in fact, Linux driven. As someone who worked in the software
development side of that industry for the better part of the last 7 years,
you'd be surprised how much SUSE & RHEL have become integral to both the
infrastructure and customer-facing POS systems. Do the end-users or customers
know they are looking at a Linux system? No. It's generally very well hidden,
much like Delta's in-flight entertainment system. Except when it goes down,
and you get to see Tux as it reboots :)
