How much money is too much?

Presumably the majority of the "extremely wealthy" are business owners.
You don't think they're smart enough to raise prices for their customers
to make up the difference, if they feel they're being more unfairly taxed
than anyone else?

If the news outlets are to be believed, the economy wasn't doing so well.
In our personal lives, this means trying to spend less and save more. It
means eating in more than out, repairing instead of replacing, etc.

Why does government (at all levels) seem intent on stealing more money
from taxpayers rather than trimming its own budgets? How much of the
$2.9T budget (not including special appropriations to kill and maim brown
people overseas) do we -really- need to spend? Perhaps instead of trying
to find ways to shift the tax income around so that it seems more "fair",
the government could just not spend so damned much money in the first
place.
