[geeks] Photography experimenting

Yesterday, went and bought a couple of clamp lights and a couple of
60W-equivalent daylight-spectrum CFL bulbs.

Today, made some ghetto diffusers out of tracing paper.

Laid some more white paper on my desktop, put the lights on either side,
and did some basic testing (camera is a Canon S3 IS, with lens adapter and
a circular PL filter and a UV filter).

Thoughts? Comments?

I'm thinking of moving up to 75 or 100W-equivalent bulbs, and am going to
rig some proper light stands. I've also ordered this book:

Suggestions greatly appreciated.
