I pointed out an example, where there it was a good deal for someone to
have wone, but a lot of people paid and got nothing.

Note that photographic equipment on eBay usually closes for far more than
it is worth. You often can buy a better condition camera from KEH.com 
which comes with a 90 day warranty and a 14 day return privledge for 
75% of what the items close for. 

Part of it is because it is an auction, part because people don't know about
KEH and part because they don't understand KEH's condition ratings. A camera
which looks like it has been used (as opposed to looking like it was never out
of the box), would be sold as "excelent++" on eBay and as a "bargain" on
KEH.

Where exactly are they? What laws apply and to whom?
