I get the occasional e-mail to firstnamelastname at gmail.com even though I'm
firstname.lastname at gmail.com.

When I first noticed this, I reported it to Google support. It was
closed without comment. I submitted several more reports, all were
closed with no response, so, I gave up and just deal with the occasional
mis-directed e-mail.
