Well honestly, what else can they say?

  - we plan to bury MySQL, there's no money in 'free' RDBMS
  - we will cease all work on Solaris in favor of _________
  - we will cap UltraSPARC development, in favor of commodity boxes

I'm not saying they will do the above, what I am saying is I can't
imagine Oracle saying anything other than what Francois wrote above.

If all they wanted was MySQL they probably could have gotten it from
Sun for $2B, if all they wanted were the OS or hardware they could
have partnered for significantly less money.

I don't think they plan to break off any of major pieces of Sun,
unless IBM really wants it... I mean REALLY wants it (allowing Oracle
to recoup up to half their investment right away)...
