[geeks] Two NCD Thin Terminals available

Hello all,

I have two NCD Thin Terminals, one an Extensa 451, the other an Extensa 701. According to this site[0] the software to boot these off a server is commonly available (links on the cited page above).

The machines have been power-tested, and appear 100% functional. but I have not bothered to test them for booting off the images available on the above-mentioned site[0]

I'd like to offer both of my two thin clients to folks on this list for $25, plus S/H. There are a few notes: I only have one power supply, you'll need to supply another one if you want to run both boxes (18V AC or DC, 2200 mA is the rating on the supplied one), and I've done nothing more than power them up, enter the setup screens, and ensure that keyboards/mice/video work OK - as I said, I haven't booted them off any NCD (or other) images.

These have PowerPC CPUs, but it appears there is a mystery chip that prevents one from loading/running Linux or other OS locally on the unit.

Google can supply many links on these terminals - I found the site below with "ncd explora 451".

If interested, please feel free to contact me off-list.

Thanks,

Lionel
