Eh? No I'm saying you can't say a democratic state with socialist
policies will fail because some communists states have failed. And it
should have been obvious what I was saying.

By what standards ? I can't think of anywhere in Europe that could be
considered a failure. There certainly no food riots, thousands being
thrown out of their houses, extreme levels of unemployment, etc. If you
look at the country with the highest GDP, it's the US. If the EU were a
country it would nudge the US into second place (by World Bank, IMF, or
CIA estimates of GDP).

People have been claiming that countries with socialist policies are
due for imminent collapse since at least 1945 (when the UK introduced
the NHS). Hasn't happened yet.
