Yes I know. But it's still rationed by your ability to pay.

I don't know about other socialised health-care systems, but in the NHS
most of the people in charge do in fact have MDs.

I do know about health care tourism. The UK is actually (!) quite a
popular destination for certain procedures, although the only one I can
recall for the moment isn't a good example in this discussion
(abortion).

I'm not overly impressed with capitalism myself. I wouldn't want
socialism on a permanent basis, but a good strong dose of it every few
years seems a good idea.

Or even do the socialism bit properly! Certainly being stuck in the
middle is costing the US a ridiculous amount ... 16% of GDP is a little
bit higher than everyone else; in fact the next highest spender is
Switzerland at 10.9% of GDP.
