In the US, Audio DATs and CDRs have a similar tax.

(of course, DAT is not used so much, and the only people who buy Audio
CD-Rs are either 1) using a stereo component CDR writer that requires
them, or 2) are using a computer that doesn't require them but don't
know better.)
