it isn't.  corps just have better defense [deeper pockets].

if these backhanders are huge, what does that say about expected
profits from disc sales?

hey, it's -just-business-...

profits is the -only- yardstick corporations measure performance by.
much as we abhor it, that's the way the game was set up.  'business
ethics' is pretty much an oxymoron at high levels; it doesn't put
dividends in the shareholder's pocket or bonuses in the executive's.
