I consider them to be rules lawyers too--they just want to argue for  
their own rules (usually designed to be advantageous to their given  
char or play style) rather than the system's.

My biggest annoyance of all is people who develop characters with  
supposedly high intelligence/wisdom and then run around doing stupid  
stuff in game.  I've been known to help manufacture in game situations  
deadly enough to deal with these folks.  Unfortunately they tend to be  
clueless in real life as well, so they never really occurs to them why  
what happened to their char happened.
