I'm looking for recommendations - positive or negative - for a KVM.

- DE15 video.
- PS/2 keyboard and mouse.
- At least 8 ports, preferably more (I have a 4-porter now, and it's
full and I have three machines I'd like to have connected but don't
   for lack of ports).
- Never switches away from a port, or refuses to switch to a port,
because of perceived faults with it (eg, because there's no video
signal, or because it sees no power on the keyboard connector); it's
OK if this is a config option, as long as it stays set.
- I'd prefer one with a button or buttons to switch (rather than, eg,
keyboard gestures), but would probably tolerate keyboard gestures.
Requiring mouse use to switch is unacceptable.
- Powered from the hosts versus eg a wall-wart is of no real import.

KVM-to-host cables, if idiosyncratic, need to be tolerably inexpensive
and available in lengths at least two metres or so (preferably shorter
as well). I'd prefer non-idiosyncratic cables.

Of course, I'd also like it to be inexpensive, but I fear I'm dreaming
there. :/
