[geeks] type-3 keyboard lube?

I am very fond of my Sun type-3 keyboards; a good type-3 is the
second-best kind of keyboard I've used - for my personal value of
"best", of course, keyboards being the intensely personal preference
they are. (The best occurred on certain Lisp Machines and is not
relevant at the moment.)

One of my type-3s is developing rather high friction between the moving
parts the Control key. This is getting to the point where it's a
problem; if my finger is slightly off-centre, the key often binds
instead of sliding down. (Why only this key is affected is a mystery,
especially sonce there are other keys (eg, the 'E') which I'm sure I've
pressed at least as often.) So I thought I would ask the collective
wisdom if there's a suitable treatment. I would expect this to be some
kind of grease to be applied to the moving parts, hence my Subject
line, but I'd be interested in anything that addressed the problem.

Any thoughts?
