er, um, how about "Blank Page"?

When I open my browser, I want to be able to *immediately* start  
typing the URL I want to go to, without the browser being busy  
fetching a default site. I also don't use tabs -- I use multiple  
windows. I don't want the browser fetching a 'default site' every  
time I open a new window.

I've *never* understood the fascination with portals, anyway.  But  
then again, I've been using the Web since 1994, and used "blank page"  
from the beginning.
