Of course, if you don't run Vista, you're increasingly going to be 
locked out of MS-branded games.  Halo 2 for the PC, for example, 
REQUIRES DirectX 10.  Even though it doesn't actually use any DirectX 10 
features.  It'll refuse to even install without it.  And DirectX 10, of 
course, will only even install on Vista.

Bungie got its walking papers, now that the Halo franchise is 
"complete".  Basically they're free with the proviso that MS owns Halo 
in perpetuity.  I hear the Bungie guys are pretty happy to be out.
