Thanks to a WP developer who is also a Mac user, I found a few other
things today I will be looking to try. Original post: <http://
urbangiraffe.com/2007/09/20/a-year-in-the-life-of-a-secret-mac-user/2/>

First, a piece of software that anti-mouse folks might like. I
haven't tried it yet, but am planning on doing so. <http://indev.ca/
MailActOn.html>

It's an OSS plug-in for Mail.app that allows more keystroke
assignments. They also Mailtags (not free), adding tags to Mail.app,
integration with iCal and some other programs.

The author also mentions a password manager that integrates non-
keychain software (like Firefox) into keychain. <http://1passwd.com/
 >. Not free though.

Being an SQL neophyte, I've been using phpmyadmin on my local test
box. Here's a Mac client for similar purposes: CocoaMySQL: <http://
cocoamysql.sourceforge.net/> Since it can be used through an SSH
tunnel, it's going to be a lot faster for dealing with remote
databases, too.
