Short overview - compares the two machines (Mac Plus running MacOS 6.0.8 and AMD Dual Core 4800+ 2.4 GHz machine running WinXP SP2)...

The tests centered around usability (time from power-up to useful desktop, etc.), and avoided web browsing and raw benchmarks between systems - the results are a bit suprising. It appears that the advances in computer hardware *may* be offset to a large extent by the bloated OS/applications now run on the machines.
