I've just come to similar conclusion, and  thusly am looking around  
for a PowerMac G5. I'm astonished at how the price of late PowerPC  
hardware has dropped, considering how much life there is left in it  
as a Mac OS X platform. I figure a decent Dual CPU G5 will last me 2  
or 3 years, and they can be had for less than GBP700.
