Remember a few days ago, I was complaining about my FW800 hard disk 
array not being fast enough to do my HD video editing?  Problem solved.

It turns out that I was using the Microsoft Firewire drivers.  They 
stink to the high heavens.  I clocked my drive, and I was getting 
roughly 100Mbps.  I switched to the Unibrain ubCore FW800 drivers and 
everything is now working just fine.
