I'll put it more strongly than that:  The War on Drugs is really a war
on the American people and our freedoms, and it's a war we're all
losing.  There is ONE way to win that war:  Eliminate the profit
potential.  If you can't make any profit selling drugs, there's no point
in pushing them.

There are, it is true, Libertarians who are all about the fluffy bunnies.

And then there's Libertarians like me and the Ogre (whom I don't think
anyone here knows), who say "This is MY freedom, and you are SO NOT
going to fuck with it, monkey boy."
