I was thinking more along the lines of a famous scene in the american TV show "Taxi" - where the one character, a burn-out from the '60s (whose screen name escapes me, played by Christopher Lloyd, played the professor in the back to the future movies) inherits a lot of money from his father, and he spends a lot of it on a "wall" of random TVs, each tuned to a different channel. All his friends take turns telling him how dumb it was, but they soon find something on one of the screens that interests them,a nd they stop complaining. Soon, they all agree it was a good idea...
