How do you figure that?

BPL isn't even deployed.

Even if it were, it would not magically cause more communication loss
than what a storm normally causes.

BPL isn't going to change my WAN connection's performance in a storm.

Besides, if we lose power, most of what we communicate with doesn't work
anyway.

The necessary stuff mostly keeps working however.
