Geez Bob, calm down - you'll be back in school soon ;^)

Until then, yes, consider yourself a System Administrator - and consider screwing the WiFI adapter to the wall (or putting it on a high shelf). I've got mine in the basement with a big, dorky antenna rig on it (the linksys wall mount unit) with a 6 foot cable run - you might want to get the same.

Oh, and stop buying things with support contracts - those items tend to (but not always) cost you geek points. Items with support contracts that rarely are exercised (like Apple laptops, etc.) are at worst, geek point neutral...
