[geeks] Long range radio?

Hello All,
I'm looking for a long range (1000' would be ideal,
more better of course), slow (only 9600 needed),
small, and cheap transmitter for digital data. We can
get small and cheap with decent range (500') easy from

(Great site BTW) As we want to use GPS on our RC
plane, 500' is kind of limiting. So if anyone has any
recommendation for something that will work, please
let me know.
