Ah, I'm way behing on using that system on any other OS.  I didn't
realize it was in operating condition.

I've gotten so on Solaris/DEC UNIX/etc I build my own packages to live
in /local, and use something like stow to manage them.

I'll have to give pkgsrc a try.

Seems it also supports Linux now too.  I run Slackware Linux, so that
might fit pretty well.
