I agree with Sridhar above... Linksys is a known-good brand, and quite
popular among list memebers.

802.11g solution is $104 from Amazon:

Unless you have a very well-stocked junk box, it will be cheaper to buy
an appliance.

If you keep your eyes open, you can find low-cost 802.11b (or g) cards
for nearly all applications (PCMCIA, PCI, USB, Compact Flash, etc.).
