Wow... I have a 700MHz Athlon with 512MB of RAM... running Slackware
Linux 9 and OO's swriter takes over 15 seconds to start up the first
time.

I find it awfully slow myself.

I also hate having to make the metric/english settings in a half-dozen
different places.  It's configuration is a little bit funky.

Still it does make for a M$ Office replacement, and I'm really glad it
is moving to other platforms.

I'm going to have to get a friend of mine to try it on his Irix
machines.  

My Sun's are too slow for it.

Oh... what machine are you running OO on?
