I never noticed that.  I was self-employed last year, living on $600/mo,
and I can assure you that my stance was the same before and after that
year-long stretch of underemployment.

ESPECIALLY due to the fact that the government penalizes the self-
employed (a minority) to help pay for all these stupid "Uncle Sam,
please bail my stupid ass out!" programs.

I am.  What right does the government have to decide what's "good" and
"bad" for me, and try to coax me into their corner by flexing around
currency?

Of course not.  Let them pay for their own health insurance, and they'll
pay appreciably higher rates.  It all works out, in the end.
