Well, from my point of view, if there's even a slight possibility that 
2 GPS units running in near proximity of each other would make either 
one or both of them now work, that alone is good enough reason. I mean, 
which is more important, that the GPS unit in some geeks lap tells him 
where he is, or the GPS in the cockpit tells the Pilot where he is?
