[geeks] iTunes and network filesystems

I'm about to try it in the next day or so... I was originally going to use
nfs which either mounts /private/mnt or /private/Network/Servers/mnt, but I
couldn't get write perms to work non-root unless I made the fs chmod 777.
This also didn't show up as a volume at the Computer level of the finder.
So... I'm using NFS for Unix machines and probably Windows machines... and
using Netatalk for iTunes and OS X. So far so good. I'm using the
Automount program which automounts AppleTalk volumes on login. I just have
to move the iTunes library next. Why would you use Samba for OS X?
