[geeks] Wireless desktop machine?

Hi All.

I have an iMac that I recently installed an Airport card in. I also
just bought an iBook that doesn't currently have an Airport card in it.
I was thinking of taking the airport card out of the iMac & putting it
into the iBook, as I can't really see a use for the airport card in a
desktop machine that I have connected via 100bt ethernet. Am I wrong,
is there some reason to keep the airport card in the iMac, and go and
spend the money for another airport card for the iBook?

On a related issue, I just reloaded the flash into my WavePOINT II
access point, and it now works properly, using the Mac I can connect
via the airport card to the wavepoint. I still can't connect to my
tadpole (the wavepoint has 2 cards in it, one an 802.11 card that's
compatible with the card in the tadpole, and an 802.11b card that's
compatible with the airport card.

It's possible that I need to add an external antenna to the wavepoint,
as the card that's in it is the EAM (External Antenna Module), and so I
don't believe it has an antenna built-in.
