[geeks] Debian gurus?

Any Debian guru's here?  I'm starting to have some really major problems
with debian's package management system, and I really want to fix it
rather than reinstall linux.

See the text after my .sig.  I can't seem to find anyway to flush the
bad data and regenerate it.  Might the problem be the list of installed
packages is corrupt?  I'm clueless about how to fix this.

Using the -f option gives me the same error.
